Divisions in our Christian Church

I often ask myself, why we have so many factions of christians, but we all believe in the same God and the same Christ?

FACT:	I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that all of you agree with one another so that there
may be no divisions among you and that you may be
perfectly united in mind and thought. My brothers,
some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are
quarrels among you. What I mean is this: One of you says,
"I follow Paul"; another "I follow Apollos"; another
"I follow Peter"; still another: "I follow Christ".
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you?
Were you baptized in the name of Paul? I am thankful that I
did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one
can say that you were baptized into my name. (Yes, I also
baptized the house of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't
remember if I baptized anyone else). For Christ did
not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel -
not with words of human wisdom, lest the
cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
- 1 Corinthians 1:10-17

If I were to fill a hall with: Catholics, Baptists, Protestants, 7th Day Evangelists, Lutherans, Mormons, Methodists, Greek Orthodox, Coptic, and all other Christian sects, do you mean to tell me that each group wouldn't look down on the other, because each thinks their way of organized religion is best?

What I mean to say is that, if each group, had a chance to convert the other, you mean to tell me they wouldn't try to?

FACT:	...can you not see that as long as there is jealousy and strife
among you, you are unspiritual, living on the purely
human level? When one declares, 'I am for Paul,' and
another, 'I am for Apollos,' are you not all too human?
- 1 Corinthians 3:3-4

I am not writing this to shame you, but to bring you to reason. To all my brothers and sisters in Christ, who have broken away from unity of mind and thought and ran to this sect or that sect:

How can you, a christian, who follows this sect or that sect explain your faith in Christ to an atheist or pagan?

If a Catholic explains his/her religion to an atheist or pagan, first, then a Protestant, second, then a Lutheran, then Coptic etc, etc. Can you not see where I'm going with this argument?

After each sect explains their faith to an atheist or pagan, won't the atheist or pagan think you are raving lunatics? Because of your differences in traditions and complete lack of unity?

The atheist or pagan would think: 'These people profess to believe in One God, and One Christ - who gave up his life for their sins, thereby being saved from God's final judgment on sinners, but each sect has its own rituals and traditions, each sect dismisses the other, thinking that their tradition is the 'true' one.'

Remember, Our Lord warned us about this very thing. NOT TO BE DECEIVED by human traditions.

You preachers and religious leaders, hypocrites!!!! All of you. How right Isaiah was when he wrote:

FACT:	Then the Lord said:
Because this people worship Me with empty words
and pay Me lip-service, while their hearts are far from Me,
and their religion is but a human precept, learnt by rote.
- Isaiah 29:13

People are starving for spiritual renewal and all you 'religious' leaders could offer are mere human traditions and weekly rituals?

FACT:	You have taken away the key to knowledge.
You did not go in yourselves, and those who were trying
	to go in, you prevented.
- Luke 11:52

If you believe Jesus is Lord, and that God raised Him from the dead -

YOU WILL BE SAVED FROM GOD'S FINAL JUDGMENT.

THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO BE SAVED - NO RITUALS, NO LONG REQUIRED PRAYERS, OR ATTENDANCE TO SERVICES.

THE WAY TO GOD IS VERY SIMPLE. IT IS NOT WHAT YOU DO THAT SAVES YOU, BECAUSE IF THAT WAS THE CASE - NO ONE WOULD BE SAVED FROM GOD'S FINAL JUDGMENT.

IT IS YOUR BELIEF - (YOUR FAITH) THAT SAVES YOU.

You see, will a Catholic really think a Protestant will be saved? Or a Coptic a Baptist?, or a Methodist a Lutheran? Or a 7th Day Evangelist a Mormon?

Think about this question, because if your answer is 'yes', my sect and all others are correct and we, even though our traditions and rituals are different, we all will be saved, you are saying Christ is divided - which is not true.

If your answer is 'no', my sect is the one true sect and all the others are lost, you are condemning your brothers and sisters, and since you have no evidence of your sect ANYWHERE in the New Testament, you therefore condemn yourself.

Please excuse the caps, but I cannot emphasize this point enough. Remember, when Abraham received the promise from God, THERE WAS NO LAW. BUT, because Abraham, peace unto him, put his FAITH in God, he was found righteous, AND THE SAME APPLIES TO YOU.

So, it isn't your going to masses, long-structured prayers that saves you, but your faith in God.
